View Full Version : Plastic Plants...coatings on them?
Hey,
I was just wondering if u could use plastic/silk plants from like craft stores...they dont seem any different than the ones ud get at a regular petstore...prices are a little better but the selection is huge. Just wondering if anybody knew about the safety or any info on using silk plants from craft/dollar stores.
Thanx

I think but not sure that the ones at wal mart have a dust coating that arnt good for reptiles but I do know that the ones from dollarama are fine

Also some have a wire down the stems of the plants..make sure there isnt any exposed wire tips, and you'll do fine.
i also am using fake dollar store plants. its in my water dragon cage who would have no desire to eat plant matter. that would be my only worry is if its with an animal who may try to eat the leaves.

I've heard you need to watch some plants (from like craft stores) as they sometimes have glue on them. I use the plastic plants sold in the petstores.
