Hey, last night at about 11:00pm I was looking at my only female crested. I have a female, a 10 month old flame and I had borrowed a male in august and gave it back in december. (this was the first time breeding cresteds) My female had had 2 cluthes of eggs before I gave the male back to it's owner. It then had a third clutch, a forth clutch and just last night A FIFTH! She was acting kind of weird last night so I went to check on her and there were two, little, white eggs. The first cluth had hatched perfectly, second clutch got moldy, same with the third clutch and the forth clutch is incubating and I just got the fifth clutch last night. I can't see the fifth clutch very easily because I am waiting for the female to walk away (see is staring right at them). I can see one looks good but the other has a dent in it. Do you think it will still hatch? I didn't know she was going to have any more eggs so I wasn't misting the nest box so she laid them in her hut (didn't feel any eggs in her). She has had three clutches after I have seperated her from the male, when will she stop? I'm getting worried, I want her to regain all of her strength and build up on calcium but she hasn't had time to do that. Can anyone give me any advice on this.

The second thing is my 10 month-11 month old flame crestie is very small (4 inches from snout to tip of tail) It is almost a year and from my experience is very small. Could this turn out to be a dwarf crested gecko if there is such thing?

(sorry, have no pics)

Thank You

She is rather young to be breeding. how much did she weigh when you started to breed her? 35 is the mininum weight for breeding and even then I find you're taking chances of her crashing from lack of calcium.

Hey, no you have it wrong. I have a female, I also have a flame 10 month old and I borrowed a male. The female that laid eggs is about 3 years old and the second paragraph was talking about the 10 month old that I have.

Thank You

No, it's ok. It's my fault. It did sound like the female was 10 months old. Sorry about that.

Thank You

No worries:) The 1o month old one. What has you been feeding her? Insects are a good beefer for Cresties, and try the Gargoyle Diet too, it has a few extra things in it!

Ya, I've been feeding her plenty. She eats very well and has good eating habits.

I'm not sure if its true, but I have been told on several occaisions that cresteds can retain sperm for up to 6 months :)
