[fattail hatchling] having problems

First, thanks to care about my problems....

I have several fattail eggs incubating at 80-81*F at the moment and I hatched 3 recently, and unfortunately I must have given the wrong conditions because I lost two already (one died the day he hatched while the second one lasted a couple hours).

I have one albino striped that is surviving still, has shed on his head and front legs, but not on the rest of the body.... I tried helping him and giving him as much humidity has possible, but not much success.

I would like to know if you have any hints, facts from your successful experience, etc you could me with that sad problem :(

I'm so sad about what's happening now..... I even thought leaving them in the incubator after hatching for about a week until they shed by themselves. What do you think ?

First off, i would check and verify the incubator temps. While 80-81 is manageable, it's a little to close to the bottom end where the eggs don't survive. The fact that they got to the end of incubation, and hatched, means that's not your biggest problem. I often leave newly hatched fatties in the incubator for up to 3 days depending on their size and alertness. After i move them into shoeboxes, i keep them mostly at the same temp as the leo babies....about 88F. on slightly moist papertowel. THey love the heat, and often manage to get under the papertowel and lie flat against it...despite the fact i provided each and every one of them with a hothide. Sometimes hatchlings die for unknown reasons.... mostly you are aware of a problem right from the start. The fact that those 2 were clutchmates, makes you wonder if it wasn't already a problem before they hatched..... are the babies outcrossed?, or are the parents related?
If the shed on the amel is loose, it's time to take her over to the sink, run warm water and get it off. Remember to put the plug in the sink incase you drop her. If the shed has refused to lift from her body... that's another problem, and usually related to nutrition... in this case, from the parents.
