This my Red Ridge-tail Monitor
He is about 5 months old, 33cms and has doubled in size in the last 3months. I am 99.9% it is a he, because when i was handling him, i held by the tail and saw his 'hemipenis' coming out of his vent at the base of his tail. I have had him for 3months now, and he is a bit shy, so i try to handle him as little as possible now. He has shedded 3 or 4 times. He lives in a 4 x 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 (W x H x D) glass enclosure (in these photos he was living in a black melamine enclosure) and the ambient temp in his enclosure is around 35-37degrees celcius (95-100F) and is about 45-47 degrees where he spends most his time. (120F-130F). Now that you know basically his life story, here are the pictures
