i'v bought storage things just like that and put a small bp in one and a small bci in one, they both were able to crawl out. if thats the same kind, the top of the clear drawer doesn't fit tight into the white harder plastic part (i really suck at describing things) but basicaly, i wouldn't risk it, unless your puting something in there that cant climb out.

sence i only had 2 i put a heat lamp in front of it sort of, it was really ugly and anoying, i'm almost glad it didn't work out because the lamp was so anoying. using heat tape would be the best idea.

my bci crawled out of one just like that. they make one with a complete plastic shell that the drawers slide into and the animals can't escape. i have a small viper boa in one drawer and a baby carpet in the other. i use flex watt to heat them. works great.

You don't state your location, this makes it hard to answer your Q's. Flexwatt can't be bought in Canada as it is not CSA approved. You can get it thru suppliers in the US & some is available in Canada thru private individuals. Flexwatt if not used properly is a fire hazard. If you are in Canada & have a fire & flexwatt is used, your insurance will be null & void. Mark

i used one exactly like the one pictured. in the bottom i had adult leopard geckos with a human heat pad under it (i removed the casters) in the center drawer i had an adult velvet gecko and in the top drawer i had an adult golden gecko. it worked great. none of them ever escaped.

I used one similar to that for my leos. I used heat rope taped in 4 rows in the back, it worked great for temp housing until I got my bigger racks done. I also know a breeder that used them for all her geckos and loved them. They never escaped. I wouldn't try the same thing with snakes though as they are stronger and larger. ;) But for geckos they work well. My old cage has since been retired to house feeding and water dishes. lol.

As long as you are getting the temps you acquire I don't see a problem. I do however recomend using a thermostate with any uth. I had one malfunction when I first started herping. It was a zoo med product bought new but left on 24/7 after less than 3 months it screwed up and I came home to find my beardie at the highest part of her cage. I didn't realize why until I went to change her water and touched the bottom of the cage, it was scorching hot. Luckily she had stayed on the logs or I could have had a seriously burnt beardie since she was less than 6 months herself.

You can get fairly inexpensive thermostats at walmart.

Oh and btw, congrats on the tang. They and my super hypo pastel lines are my favorite morphs of leo. ;)
