I just had 2 eggs hatch one tremper & one normal het for tremper & Las Vegas. As I took a closer look at the tremper I noticed that it only had 2 toes on it's front right leg and the leg is gimp?? What could have caaused this, The normal is just fine and they were both incubated togather. Also I noticed the tremper still has some dried yoke sticking out from it's belly, Should I pull it off , Will he take care of it or will it fall off by it's self? Anyone else has a hatchling with a gimp leg, If so did it survive. Here is some pics

These types of deformeties are often times the result of temperature fluctuations.

The deformity could be the result of the mom not getting enough vitamins and calcium..... I could also be a temperature issue during incubation..... It happens to the best breeders out there so dont take it to heart.....
You should leave the yolk sack alone.... It will fall off on its own....
Hope this helps.....

deformities can be caused by a whole slew of things, temps, cramped conditions in the egg ect. i hatched a little "gimp" a few years back, but it ended up being fine, just walked a little funny.

I hope mine makes it. Hopefully the rest will be ok. It's funny i've been constantly checking the incubator several times a day everyday for the last 2weeks and the day I don't check on them they hatch.
