What is it exactly that you're worried about? Him eating, or him hiding?

they take some time to digest their food. What exactly are u woried about? Look inside his hide and if he is in shed, raise the humidity appropriately.

depends on the size of the snake. My ball pythons hide 90% of the time. It's just the way they are. No need to worry at all.

Yeah, these are NOCTURNAL, BURROWING snakes. If its not hiding, then that's when you might have a problem. Snakes hide. Especially nocturnal ones that live underground.

For what it's worth...
If his eyes were cloudy, he's got a few days until he actually sheds. Mine usually sheds a few days after the eyes clear up.
