i miss hockey

i really do.. i was looking through some posts from the "begining" and i came across this one.. im so sad now... it feels like forever since there was a NHL game to watch and there looks to be no end... the only good that may come out of this is what happened to baseball... ppl got pissed so they stopped going... now you can actually afford to go to a game...

Seems to me that just yesterday the Kitchener Rangers beat the the London something-or-others and sent them packing. We've got hockey here... OHL works if you can't get to watch the over-paid NHLers ;)

I miss it too.
I'm going downtown T.O. in a bit to play street hockey though.

The Toronto Maple Leafs put on a competition (annualy) where kids and adults can play hockey from 10am to 4pm. There aren't really any prizes, but it is fun, and does get competitive.

Hopefully the NHL and NHLPA can work something out soon.

yeah i hear ya peter, i've been going thru play off withdrawl this april as well :( i just hope the don't go thru the same crap and throw away next season too. i made up for it by going to a lot of AHL games this yeah watchin the Hamilton Bulldogs. but its just not the same.

for me what makes the leafs great is the announcer.. i miss him more than anything.... thats why OHL isnt scratchin my itch properly.. i cought myself watching a televised game between 6 yr olds a while ago.. now that was sad...

I guess I'm of the minority.....I'm glad they're locked out and hope they stay this way for a long time. It means more basketball on TV which suits me just fine!!!!

yes i miss hockey...but what are you saying? bob cole is the worst announcer of all time...he once mixed mogilny and domi up. and i even caught him confusing sundin with a player from the opposing team one time. just to name 2 of the many many screw ups.

i like his voive and the excitement he adds to the game.. i watched a botson or florda game once and it was so boreing.. ive seen better anouncers at a peewee game...

i prefer hitting mute and listening to the radio announcer while watching the tv....no one beats the announcer on am640...but its not his high quality announcing im drawn to, but cole's low quality announcing that i despise.
