Heya

1) How many leos can you keep in a 20gal tank?

2) What colors would you get if you cross a blizzard phase and a regular leo?

3) Not that I am going to but can leos be housed with fat tails? I am just curious because they look so similar.

4) Has anyone seen the snow phase? It's GORGEOUS!

I wouldn't put any more then two.

What colors would you get if you cross a blizzard phase and a regular leo?

You would get normal leopard geckos which are heterozygous, or carry the gene for, blizzard phase. In other words, you would have to breed two heterozygous for blizzard's to produce another blizzard. Hope that makes sense.

Nope.

They are definitely gorgeous! And Painted Desert Gecko is a great place to purchase from if you were interested in obtaining some.

Hope that helped!

Read the Leopard Gecko FAQ (http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=50109) for some of your answers.

Crossing blizzard and normal gives you normal looking leos carrying the blizzard gene -- normals het for blizzard.

Gino, we've got to stop meeting like this.
What's that ... 3 times today?

Possibly, but this time I win! Whoo hooo! This is what happens when you sit at the computer all day doing various work, waiting for the night to arise so one can go out :P.

So why can't they be housed together? I figured the answer was no but is it because of environmental conditions or humidity issues, etc?

Now if only I can decide whether to use the spare tank for fish or more leos lol

Leopard Geckos inhabit India, Pakistan and Afghanistan where African Fat Tails are native to, as suggested, Africa. Two different places on the map, two different habitats, two different husbandry requirements. Thats pretty much what it boils down to. Although a lot of their husbandry is similar, it is just overall not a good idea.
