my female has gainig wait!!

Hi guys.

My female has gaining 600 grams in 5 monhs.Is this to much??
I realy think she looks great right now.She's now 1510 gr and a real good rat eater.SORRY GUYS IT MUST BE WEIGHT NOT WAIT:o

if you're not overfeeding her (like more than one appropriate sized rat each week), then there is no problem with her gaining weight quick. be happy she's such a good eater!

She got no more than1 rat every week. She is a real good eater

i dont weigh my rats, but i usually give bps a rat about the same girth as the snake. you can go a bit bigger or smaller depending on the snakes eating habits.

Ok than it's ok because i feed my female rats that have the same size as her midsection.I hope she's gaining a little more before october.

i agree with Thunder. 1 rat every week or so depending on how big the snake is. I don't feed my adults as much as my sub adults. Like Thunder said a rat the same size or just a bit bigger than the biggest part of the snake is what i feed.

Keep in mind that the "appropriately sized meal once per week" is still just a guideline. I know people who feed their non-breeding females and males once every two or even three weeks without any negative effects, and on the flipside, people who feed their breeding snakes as often as thy will eat. There really is no "right" way to feed your ball, as long as they remain healthy.

Tony,My female is 4.1/2 years old now.And her length is a little over 4 feet.
Maybe i should feed her every 10 day's??
I also hope she's gaining some more weight before october this year so i can try to breed her next year.

I know ther are people ho say you can breed her now.But guys i 'am new in the ball python world so first i whant to lurn more about this beautiful animals.

When i bought my female she was in a very bad condition
she was only 900.Gr and almost 4 years old.I can see that she
is doning so much better now.

Maybe she will reward me next year with some eggs.;)
