Under most circumstnaces, dart tanks do not need to be heated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rememebr, they are not reptiles.
Darts do fine in the low 70's, and the room temps of most houses are more than adequate. Even if your house is only in the high 60's, your frogs will do fine as the flurescent lights above the enclosure and the humidity/lack of ventilation will have a bit of a greeenhouse like effect within the tank, and keep it a few degrees above room temps. My frog room is kept between 68 and 75 fahrenheit, though the average is around 72.
Darts can overheat VERY easily. Remember, they are not reptiles. Darts can easily perish if temps stay in the mid 80's for long. Though they live in warm, tropical countries, they inhabit the lower, and much cooler levels of the rainforest where temps stay in the 70's. And a good little rule of thumb, NEVER use any sort of incandescent lamps with darts. Before you get dart frogs, it is best to set up the tank first anyway, as then you will be able to play with the temps and the humidity to get them in thr right range consistently.
Oh cool I dont own any frogs and if I do get some it will be awhile from now and ill have to do alot of research I was just wondering Thanks!
