alright well i tried feeding my snake his first rat since iv had him and he almost seemed scared of it....the rat was live which i know you all hate, but i don't want to deal with killing or keeping dead rats in my freezer...i watched the rat really close and stuff to make sure that nothing would happen...anyway he is on baytril for his RI im wondering if that may have an effect on his eating....also it seems like he is losing weight so he really needs to eat...how can i get him to eat?.....or should i just wait another week and try again even though he seems to be losing weight

I'd only offer the snake food once a week. If you try to offer too often and its not eating it will only stress the snake out.
Sick snakes often don't eat, but if yours does all the better.
I wouldn't stress about it not eating its a ball python, they can go several months without eating. This is not to say keep a close eye on it. a big weight loss is probably worms or other parisites, but remember bp poo big and that can realy make them look like they have lost a lot of wieght. If in doubt take a stool sample (if possible) to the vet.

thanks man i appreciate the advice....come to think of it he did take a monster crap not to long ago that probably could be it
but i wouldnt rule out the worms because it seems everything that can go wrong witha snake has gone wrong wiht my snake lol.....thats what i get for buying a WC...hopefully he'll be all good soon!
