anyone know if it's possible to switch a 250watt ceramic socket from a 10" dome to a 6" dome without problems?

The done on the 6" will get so hot it will be dangerous...

well i dont know if the soccetes are different from one dome to another.. next time your at a pet store check the fixture on the six inch dome...
