If you can tell the sex of a snake by its tell can anyone let me know what the possible sex of my snake is? I am posting a picture of my Charcoal AnreyB Corn Snake.

Need a better picture.
It would help to see the vent in relation to the tail length.
I would say that right now it's still a bit too early to determine the sex this way. From the picture the size of the snake is still very small. Hatchlings are almost impossible to see the difference between males and females. I would say poping or probing is the savest way to determine the sex of a hatchling.
Just go to an experienced vet that knows what he/she is doing. Then get him/her to do t for you. That is the savest and most accurate way to do it.

Here is a pic that shows what I was referring to.

Okay Trevor I see what you are saying in this pic.
But I only have one corn so I can not compare 2 together. What if I post his overall length then, the tail length itself with a better picture? Unless you have another Idea? I am open for suggestions.....Jamie

One pic is enough for the people that have been breeding these snakes for years. Just post a pic of the tail stretched out like the ones in the pic I posted and that will help. I once posted a pic that way and 9 out of 10 guesses proved to be right when I finally probed it.

Maybe 2 pics will help. Chad was not being too cooperative about this. Thanks for all of your input....Jamie

Pic two is the right idea but the wrong angle. Try to hold it out like in the one I posted. It is a two person job.

Trevor
