So I think everyone (for once) agreed that the classified section should have some guidelines as to what information should be mandatory before putting up an ad.....
Is this going to be implemented into the site or no?
Another show is coming and I’m sick of seeing peoples location as stuff like “up in the clouds”,” hell”, etc. and not mentioning it in their ad either as to where they live.
I am looking for stuff and have money to spend; I just wish I didn’t have to waste my time writing to people who don’t live anywhere near me. I like buying off the ssnakess private classifieds and wish it was less frustrating.
Thank you for reading my rant, I don’t usually come in the general forum as much as Justin and wanted to voice my aggravation.
Any updates would be appreciated in regards to this, thanks again!
Jessy
PS. like our new logo? ;)
I hear ya' sister. Preach on. (most probably on deaf ears, but what the hey...). This is also a pet peeve of mine, big time.

I've been contacting a guy about his gecko for a few weeks, but his inbox is full, so I can't reach him. I wish people could just clear their inbox every once in awhile.
i have seen ads where they advertise the sex of the snake, the fact thats its albino, the price, but completely forget to even say what type of snake it is......people need to prepare adds better. or even better would be if there was a submission form specifically for the classifieds with feilds for all the information that is generally needed. Most cases people for get to mention at least one detail that a potential buyer might need. Having all the feilds there in the submission form would serve as a kind reminder.
Right on man. If people are trying to sell animals, I really wish they would include their location, I hate wastying my time with a message for someone in Ontario when Im in Alberta.

Or how about failing to mention they don't drive, or are unwilling to drive to meet you?
Or if they do have all the info you need, but fail to never reply to you?
To place an ad there should be a set form that has to be completed in order for the ad to be posted:)

Definitely a great idea, I will mention it to my superiors :p.
I believe the site is being updated very shortly and there will be some changes made soon after... keep giving us your ideas, anything that will make this site function easier would be great for us all....

I started a big thread about this before too, but no one listened. All the people who complained are the people who actually take the time to post all or alot of the relevent info. The people who didn't post were the people who were the problems.

When nobody buys the animals listed, then people will start listening! Just do the talking with your pocketbook. Avoid people that don't post pictures a number, an email, a location, whatever. If they can sell 100 $200 animal per year, they can afford a $250 digital camera which would be MORE than adequate to take pics of sale animals.
Preach on. I never get tired of hearing that complaint.

Well, I just ran into the dumbest of dumb things? stupid things? Heck, I don't even know what to call it.
I've tried to get a member to clear his PM box so he can be contacted, but no go after 2 days. So, I tried emailing him via the email link.... it bounced - no such address!
So now he's got an ad for an animal that no one can contact him about.

Nope, I found someone even dumber. His ad said pick-up
only without a location! That's all I'm going to say on the subject,
I ranted about this before.
