Like a Rosy and Gound Boas section? Or is there one and I'm just stupid? It's hard to find a good forum dedicated to these types of snakes which have fairly different needs than other boas. It would be nice to have a separate section for them. Thanks!

Back when this site first started, I too asked for such a forum, but there's not a lot of demand.

If there is a large enough of a demand for the section, IT can be aded although I doubt there is ..

If you want to see this forum open up .. speak ure mind .. lets see how many ppl want it and w can judge from there wether it is worth or not oppening a forum just for these specific boas...

Rosies and sandboas are a different classification, hence they share different latin names. Sandboas are Erycine, Rosies are Lichanura...

The whole group are called Erycines Linds, including the Calabria, and the rubber boas. The genus for sandies is Eyrx not Erycine.

ok well there isnt enough demand for 2 differant ones.. so you guys think of a name for the forum that classify's all of them and i will implement the forum.

Really? I was under a different impression. I didn't think that all the desert boas were grouped together, and that only the sand boa were erycines, and rosies were a whole different class.........

Katt, Linds.. I will make the forum tommorow... and Sorry Katt we no longer have mods for seperate forums anymore.. just a few who moderate the whole board... If we are recruiting again we will post it up so people can apply. :)

That is great news Jeff.

I think rosies (and sandboas) are wonderful snakes and hopefully this forum will help others discover that too.

Right Linds? :-D

yay!!! Thanks for the support guys! I certainly think it's fine to group all the desert species together. Most other sites do. I just have noticed that several members keep these snakes and I and very new at Rosy's and will definitely have questions and I was not sure where to put them. Thanks so much Jeff!

Why not just a "pocket boa" forum ....For the small boas.. including: candoia, and all the desert boas, and small ground boas....It's just a suggestion, but i think it would be pretty cool!
