Well thismorning my Het. Ghost male finished shedding, and he hasn't taken anything to eat for me for 5 months so I thought I would try him tonight. Let me just say WOW! I pulled out his rubbermaid, dangled the rat infront of him a little and WHAMO! I guess he was tired from all that breeding he did this winter. Just hope he continues to feed.

Wll this must be my week! My male astel that hasn't taken a meal in 6 months has shed and taken his first rat since the strike started, and one of my other striking males is ready to shed as well. Hopefully he will come out of shed hungry as well.

That is great smeagle, on Wednesday last week one of my males started eating and then just the wednesday past another also started. I only have 1 male that is still fasting and 3 that are just being picky and slow eaters!! LOL I figure my het orange ghost will pick up pretty quick, he was a fantastic eater before the fast and Whiplash as well was a very regular eater before winter so I'm hoping that by the end of the month they will both be back to complete normal like the other 3 males. That just leaves my het pied who has eaten once only since I got him and my miserable little '02 the first male I got who will only eat 1 mouse at a time and only when he feels like it!!

Nita: my het pied never went off feed. he is a mad eater, hits the rats like crazy. I only have one male and one female that havent eaten yet, not counting my gravid girl.

Smeagle, my het pied was eating great until he got here!! LOL, he is extremely timid, I don't handle him really at all except to take him out to clean his cage, weigh him at that time. He will strike at the rats and then run and hide, he is a little chicken. Took 3 months to get him to even take one rat from me and since then he has refused again and it is going on 3 weeks I think since he ate. He is just picky for me!! LOL, I think I may have to stick to getting problem feeders, they all seem to do good for me, the ones that are supposed to be great eaters decide they don't like me!

My het pied is a very snappy ball. I can't handle him, every time I try to he bites me, I have to use a hook to take him out. Never had or heard of a snappy ball. But it keeps me on my toes :)
