how many Jumbo RATs can U feed a 10 foot burm? compared to 2 med rabbits ??
Or 8 foot retic?
Larger snakes need to eat large prey..
with or with the fat content.. besides its cheaper to feed a 10 foot snake rabbits rather than rats..
Its just the way it is !!
I actually have my adult male and female ball on new born rabbits ( about 2-3 weeks old ) they are thicker than rats..provide more meat, and I pay an excellent price...for them.
My 2.5 foot female boa is eating them also..
As soon as all my snakes are on rabbit, i'll stop breeding rats are a while, and get myself a couple of rabbits, I pay 5-7 $ for any size rabbit, from a good friend, so its worth it to me to do this.

i feed all my boas rabbits and they love them.. plus being in alberta i am not allowed rats and the petstores charge a heafty price for them.. $8.99 for a rat that i can buy a rabbit for for $1.. i pay something like $1.50 for a half pounder, don't have the exact price list in front of me...plus they are far suppier to rats for nutrition..
