I agree, looks more like a BCI.
i was thinking the same thing when i first saw the pic, the reason for that would be because the red isn't as bright as most BCC i have seen and fades into brown a lot earlier. i didn't say anythign before cuz im wasn't 100% and still am not.maybe those with more experiance could correct me if i am wrong

I understand why you're doubting
The way you describe, it seems that only the Boa's with an bright red tail are BCC...
But not all BCC (localities) have that bright red that is shown with for example suri's
That's an appearence within localities, not within species.......
The breeder told me, they (I have a female too from the same breeder) are BCC (Venezuela)

The saddles and the head shape dont look bcc at all...
