I'm not really sure what it is, what's your humidity like, and is it only that spot or are other areas affected too?
I don't know much about this sort of thing, but it looks like scarring to me. Did he lose scales a while back, or suffer any other type of injury?
i've had him practically since he was born, he has never been injured while in my care and did not have those marks before i purchased him his set up is as fallowes:
27-28 degrees on the cool end 31-32 on the warm 55-60% humidity
substrate: paper towel
hides: 2 (1 hot, 1 cold)
water bowl is on the cool side
size: 32cm x 80cm x 40 rubbermaid
location: in my room, low traffic opposite side of where i always am right next to my BCI
ambient room temp (outside the enclosures) 22 C
no other furniture

I hope you mean celcious and not ferinheight (sp? lol) because those would be really bad temps.
When I had my bp's, my male had scales like that along his back as well, never caused any problems for him, so I wouldn't worry to much about it. If you think it is a BIG cause for concern, then take him to a vet.
One thing that semi cleared it up for my boy was upping the humidity to about 70-75% during his next shed.

I used to have that prob. too, I found that regular betadine soaks and neosporin appplications usually remedied it when he shed next. I think it is like a fungus or somthing........

That looks like a burn to me.
well its not a burn, i use UTH, no heat lamps
is its possible the humidity just wasn't high enough during the last two sheds and a few scales didn't shed of correctly, he only has the three or so scales.

Just looks like bits of shed to me..
thats what i was thinking bartman, not his last shed, but the one before that, didn't come off to well, would increased humidity solve the problem during a shed peroid
