To "Make" your own ground effects you are going to need to make 4 different molds which can be done by making a styrofoam copy of what you want to make then making a reverse mod of that then you are able to glass what you actually want to make

Its a time consuming task and requires a fair bit of skill as well

You would be much better off buying a body kit or whatever look on ebay usuually there are dozens of them on there including wide body kits

getting a kit from ebay you might a well make your own. HORRIBLE fit.

a great idea is go to www.google.com type your car and then the word "ground effects" or "body kit" and thats more then any person on here can do for you.

thats the problem.. ive done that and ive been to about 15 sites and there is nothing.... i have a 1994 grand am gt 4 door... i hate imports and plus i really just want to screw around....

do you think its possible to make a positive mould of the existing ground effects then kinda make them wider and stuff... i dont know if you understand what im getting at.. but if that is possible what materials would be used to make a mould.... i thought foam but it would have to be the pour type because the spray foam is to inconstant....

i really dont know... i dont hate all imports... espically if there done properly.. really its just civics.... i like volkswagons and stuff.... i really dont have an answer to that question... maybe it stems off the fact that all the ppl that ive met with done up civics and stuff are all jerks...

Nothing personal but a 94 Grand Am with a home made body kit would get lots of laughs....;)

daiyoukai.. it is the ppl.... but its also the crappy looking civics with no power what so ever... im really just not an import fan.. just like some ppl dont like fords or chevs.. i dont like eagal talons, civics, and ones like..... now there are some that have been made to look good and more powerful... thoes i dont really mind.. and its not the fact that they hate on domestics.... i really just worded myself rong in the first place.. i should have said im just not a fan of improts...

the reason why i want to know is because my car is nearly on its last legs and i plan on getting a cavi or something like... so if i can make a bodykit for my car now then i can make a better one for a newer car....

but most of all im sorry if i offended you in any way... by the sounds of it you have one... and if you do id kinda like to see it... im sure its probably alot better than the ones in my area...

Im not at all offended, but all this just seems like I watching a pot calling a kettle black. but as Iv said befor to each his own.

IMO a tasteful way to give a car a nice/new look is to add a simple lip. back in my honda days I knew people with first gen tegs would go to home depot and use garden stripping to make a front lip and used rivets to hold it there. the other accent colors on the car were black to beggain with so it didnt look that bad. They auto x'ed there cars those I dont know how much a difference the lip did for them lol.
