I've seen babies and younger ones do that alot. As they get older they don't seem to do it as much, well mine don't anyway.

I've only seen one adult eating shed skin, and that was purely accidental. Judging by his reaction, he probably didn't like it much either.

Yummy.
"What's for dinner tonight honey? Oh, I just shed today, I'm deep frying my skin!" Lmao.
My Veiled used to do that when he was a baby as well. Possibly they grow out of it.

come to think of it i find very little shed skin after mine sheds
I know that geckos do it although I have never seen mine eat it. but I had never heard of the veileds eating it. he is still young so maybe will outgrow it. but if not, it helps keep his home nice and tidy :)

Haha, less work to clean it out eh?
actually he is a very tidy little guy. he goes to the lowest branch and poops the same spot all the time. He hangs his butt way over so not to drop anywhere he might step. I've actually seen him looking backward as if to watch where it drops. all I have to do is keep a folded piece of paper towel where he poops and change it every day. makes us both happy. our two year old veiled isn't as fussy, he poops all over on anything that gets in the way.
