Does anyone know where I can get my hands on some of these? They seem like they would be a much better source of live food then crickets.

I'm not sure about everywhere, but my local reptile biased petstore carries them.

As for an alternate food source than crickets, I don't think its going to happen. I've had a few in my enclosure for a good 6 months and he doesn't eat them, they just kinda keep things a bit cleaner in those hard to reach places :p

I've tried lobster roaches with crested geckos, that's when I found out cresties like roaches as pets. :) The gargoyles did taste them but weren't too fussy about them either. Now, the Leachianus..... that's a different story... bring on the roaches. But then, the younger hissing raoches and discoids went over well with leachianus too.

Does anyone here feed waxworms or mealworms to their cresties? We considered offering them some, but we've been told that they won't eat them.

Any experience?

Some cresties will take them while others will not. The best thing to do is try it out. I've had some cresties take mealworms and butter worms but I also have a few that couldn't care less about them.
