does any one else have a ball that will not eat frozen. i have a 2 yr old female who refused thawed mice and rats for a month then i threw a live adult mous in and it def did the trick it was gone within 5 mins. What is everyones opinion on this. I know feeding live is not the best..... please help
my ball pythons are very picky about their food (like most others) the one eats mice and the other rats, both will eat FT but they can not be wet or semi cold. when they get thawed out they have to be dried completly, i use a hair dryer and i place them as close to a heat lamp as i can so they get really hot, then they eat them. try doing that, also are you holding the dead prey up by tongs? you should do that and make them move a little. sometimes leaving the food in their for a while works too. good luck

yes i have 48 inch tongs. i tried all that i put them under a 250 watt heat lamp and even push my luck once to the point the belly popped. But with the live she went srt8 at it. is it a bad thing if she only eats live ?
