Hey

Well now its been 7 months I've been waiting! One of the egg has started to sweat! No false alarm this time. Its for real! yay! For those who have no idea what I am talking about I'll give a brief summary. In the summer my male panther chameleon broke into my females enclosure and they started to mate. A month later I got a clutch of eggs. Now I incubated the eggs for 7 months and now they are about to hatch. Here are some pictures. But I find that the egg is a bit small to be hatching right now. The last picture you can compare the sizes. Is this normal that they get smaller when they hatch?

I have come up with a conclusion. I know why my eggs are molding and not hatching. The reason is my box lid collects water when it gets humid, then a water drop hits an egg which then will que them to start sweating and hatch. But in this case they were not ready to hatch as they were still developing, and they just molded and died. I heard about this reading a webstie but I was not sure if it will que the eggs to hatch sooner.

This is a learning experience for me. I make mistakes but I learn how to fix them. I hope those chameleon breeder takes there time to read and research. As of now 2 eggs did not mold and is looking really good. The 3 eggs that have molded I'm pretty sure is dead. I opened a molded egg and it had not fully developed.
