I just put two eggs in the hobovator. My question is, should I cover the eggs with vermiculite or keep them open to the air in the incubator?
thanx

Do you have the eggs nestled in vermiculite? You should have a lid on the container, or use saran wrap

We have them nestled in vermiculite, but just barely covered with it. Should we put saran wrap over the container? How many air holes should we put in it?

Saran Wrap, I believe, is breathable. You shouldn't have to put any holes in it.

I don't cover any of my eggs and never had any problems from it.

I use smaller containers with about an inch or two of vermiculite. I use my thumb to make an indention and stick the egg in there it covers about 2/3's of the egg, and i don't use a lid on the container.
