Well my gravid female had her pre birth waxy stool today, so i was pretty excited, and then about 2 hours later, i heard some sounds coming from the cage and i went to have a look. And i found this..

She went 111 days after ovulation before dumping these, she did not have a post ovulation shed..
There was the 2 babies in the picture above, but they were not all the way formed, but were still breathing. and only lasted about 5 minutes. So far i have counted 30 slugs and the 2 not fully formed babies, and she is still got a few more to come out yet..

If they would have been full term, she would have had a first litter of around 35 babies.

Not much i can do about it, so i will just try her again next year, and see how it goes..

Yikes, that can be so disappointing. Better luck with her next year!

Oh my goodness, this has to be such a disappointment after waiting so patiently for so long.

Luck, good and bad, has an uncanny way of evening itself out, so no doubt there will be many good things to come.

Pour yourself a stiff one and dream of sunnier days.

So sorry Tim,

Tony

Man that sucks. I also have had a crappy breeding season so far and have a feeling that when my gravid Hog has her babies I will find the same thing. I am very worried and your post has left me horrified. Breeding boas and pythons can be stressful at times. I am sure you were excited when you saw the waxy stool and finding the slugs had to bo extremely difficult. I am sorry for your loss and hope you have better luck next time around.

OMG, I'm sorry Tim. I remember you posting the ovulation and everything looked awesome. Maybe this was all on the male? Not enough cycling or maybe not cool enough? Next year for sure man. Just stick with it.

Jar, I hear ya man. There is NO sure thing. It can be quite nerve-racking to say the least. The best way is to have several things on the go, and hope one of them takes. And never put too much stock on one thing. It'll burn you everytime.

Best of luck Tim. LOTS of time ahead of you. It'll even out. No doubt about it.

I'm so sorry Tim, first breedings always have such high hopes associated with them. Next year will rock for you though, I'm sure!

TIM:

Sorry for the late reply, sorry for the loss dude, knew you were excited and I was hoping for you on a success and send you a congrats. Although this did not happen don' t let it break you, she had a large litter still so another year won' t hurt her and maybe she needed more time or the male has his complications, Goodluck next season dude things will turn around.

That sucks.... better luck next year, it was probably the male.... didn't do the job properly or temps a bit too warm?

That is terrible man, Hopefully the female is alright and you can try again next year. Like the other's said it's probably the male. I totally feel for you and know what you are going through. I had something similar happen to my DH SnowXDH Snow breedings earlier this year. But I had alot more developing babies. I'm just glad the female is doing fine and will wait for next year. Sometimes things just don't go our way, just have to live with it and learn from it.
You win some and lose some!
Best of luck with her in the future:)
