Well the PSP came out today and of course I was foolish and spent $265.00 on it :) it was an overall good purchase I'd have to say even though the movies aren't out for it yet it does come with spider man and a sampler game disc. My mom was with me so she decided she'd buy me Spiderman 2 for it. I have to say the game graphics look just as good as PS2 and X-Box just on a smaller scale and the movie picture is better than any portable DVD player I own and TV for that matter. Well I was just wondering what of you other fools paid this rediculous price on opening day? :-p

Well just got home from work, and was contemplating buying it on my break, but decided i'll just save the money and buy more snakes lol :D. I'm planning on buying it when the movies are out.

Yeah it's too expensive and I know of many faults with it, such as a short battery life, the disk ejection, problems with buttons, costs for everything, etc.
I prefer to save my money.

Also the only issue I've heard of and seen is dead pixels I have 2 barely noticeable in the bottom right hand corner of the screen didnt notice it untill i had a completely black screen so wal mart is replacing mine tomorrow for one w/ working pixels

I have a nintendo DS, im a hardcore nintendo fan. The psp is impressive and im really interested how its going to unfold, where it will be in a few years? Nintendo has crushed all ther opponents when it came to portable game systems, none have come close to them, thats why its interesting to see how sony will do. considering how they have been killing nintendo in sales.
however for durability(which is really important when it comes to portables) nintendo probably makes tougher machines.
thats my 2 cents
power to the mushroom!!!
