Here's Iris laying her eggs Tuesday morning.
This clutch means we need to brace for 9 Morelia clutches total this year. I was constantly second guessing her as she is not as fat with eggs as she was last year.
This next pic was taken about three hours after I first found her laying. She had only three eggs out at that point.

Then I came back to find she was done laying and had begun her shortlived incubation....

So I stole her eggs...it was not easy. She was already well rested and fiercely defending her eggs. She struck at me 3 times before I even got the cage door open. I grabbed a hook and placed her head in the right angle and promptly grabbed head just behind the head with my other hand. She quickly responded by pulling her coils easily off the eggs and onto my arm shoulder and chest. Oh, and I can't foget the musk that was rubbed on my neck and sweater. I can smell it right now still.
When she was unraveled from me and put back in her cage, she was even more PO'ed but she left us with this....

Unbelievable! A female that only gave us three fertile eggs last year gives us 17 FERTILES AND NOT A SINGLE INFERTILE!
I personally am amazed...forgive my excitement.
The clutch weighed 1426 grams and all are perfect in every way.
And to think this was a clutch we thought may not even be coming....
