A beardie is a great choice, I think!! I have 2 right now and they are so much fun!! But yes, they do poop a lot but they make up for it with their friendliness! :O)

I recently bought a red tail....I have never seen such massive poop in my life....and it smells awful...Im still looking for a beardie though...If I can take the poop from the red tail I hope the beardie cant be worse.

OMG.........so true...........if you can handle snake poop, you can handle a beardie.........my southern pine blue me away the first time she pooped!

Particularily when she decides to use her water bowl as a deposit site for her poops..........the smell is overwhelming!

I had to laugh recently, I had a friend helping me with the herps and I was up on the step stool removing a poopy waterbowl from 'Slinky' the snake's cage. She rushed over to my side as I was lifting the ceramic bowl and asked if she could help.........well, evilly kinda giggling to myself I said 'Sure!' - when she took the bowl over to the sink to dump it out, I heard her gag in disgust and man, I was practically rolling on the floor laughing at her!

Hah, I'm sooooo evil sometimes!

That's something I would do too :)
Actually, I have done it several times, but lucky people who've volunteered to help me, I only have small snakes, and only the Ruthven's king poops in his water bowl.
I've only had one beardie, but didn't think he pooped much. The Rhac. leachianus can be way more productive in that department.
