I am looking to build a new enclosure that has close to equal floor space as a 6x3 cage. I need to save room yet be functional and look nice. Any Ideas are appreciated no matter how abstract. I have been trying to come up with something for weeks and my brain hurts. It's for a 2.5 foot red tegu

i came up with a castle cage that you can make to any size but has 2 high points on both sides of the cage or you can make it in a cube with 4 high points just an idea

got to the end of your post with a cage u built in mind that sounded perfect! tehn you said tegu...lol.

i find makign cages look nice on teh cheap is dividing the front into 3 glass sections. i use riped 2x4's. you can make soem AWSOME looking posts from 2x4's if you have some patience and a table saw!!! i liek the sort of bay windo look. center peaice sticks out a bit and the 2 sides fall back to the sides. looks quite nice.

that is, if you are using a glass front.

how high can you go?? id suggest 3x5 then make it 5 or 6 feet tall
use shelves for tegu to climb and fill it with like 2 feet of dirt so it can dig and make a burrow to hibernate in.
