friend of mine has a rainbow boa thats about ??8 months old and it hasnt ate in about a month. It just stoped eating. The temps are 72-74 and it ahs a moist box for it's humidity. Im guessing it's time to turn up the heat? It did have a mite problem but all has been cleared and doesnt show signs of having tehm anymore.
any reasons besides the heat (what I think it is) on why she would stop eating? thanks.
I would be really concearned with the temps, the animal is most likely stressed pretty good being kept under those conditions, I would advise upping the heat and checking the humidity aswell, then try feeding again in a couple weeks

72-74F?? Are you trying to kill your Rainbow Boa?
88-90F warm end, 78-80F cool end. Man, you gotta start reading.

As suggested by both Jeff and Joe, you definitely need to correct those temperatures. Proper temperatures are crucial for several reasons, including digestion and to maintain proper activity / behaviour.
This is why it is always important, as Jeff had suggested, to research thoroughly before purchasing an animal. A proper cage with adjusted temperatures should be available days before any animal is brought home.

If you know it's the heat...why are you asking for other possible reasons?
Fix the heat, I'd also check out some caresheets.

What about "my friends" do yall not understand? I keep my herps well cared for. I kinda made this just to show him how wrong he is about his care. He has been debating on letting me take care of it anyways. hopefuly I'll get it after showing him this thread.
