I have waited so long and tried so many things but I have finally gotten some breeding from my Tangerine breeding colony. It was by the Male Orion, Super Hypo Tangerine, and the Female Mika, Hypo Tangerine (pictures available on my website). I have been waiting so long for these guys to breed so hopefully in the next few weeks I will get some eggs. I will keep everyone updated as soon as I get some news.

Congratulations! Beginner breeders often always take that extra time to get the hang of things, but once they've got it, they'll never forget :)
My breeders were a pain in the arse when i first got 'em, however now, they mate instantly when put together, before i even have a chance to walk out of the room!

Best of luck with them!

Excellent! You think you're excited now? Wait till you find eggs for the first time, and after that when you get your first baby!:)

I will definately get that camera ready because I won't be able to resist taking about a hundred pictures! Thanks for the replies and hope you all have a good breeding season.

One more thing. How long do you think it should take for Mika to lay her first eggs? She is just over 2 years old now so any guesses would be great. I just set up the incubator to make sure that the temps are just right.

First time egg layers take about 3-4 weeks and sometimes even 6 weeks to lay their eggs, after a few clutches she'll lay faster.
We have a Sunglow first time in egg laying here that's taking 5 weeks so far.
While the other first time in egg laying sunglow took only 3 weeks, so it all depends really.
