Because St Patricks Day is FUN. That's why.

And because I am not sitting in my house celebrating a man who killed snakes. I am using it to celebrate having a drink and a green day. Just like I don't use Halloween to celebrate a pagan holiday. I use it to scare people and dress up. Life is what you make of it, not what someone else tells you it's about! So enjoy the holiday.

The legend (http://www.dltk-kids.com/crafts/patrick/about.htm) is that Saint Patrick drove the snakes off the island, not killed them.

green beer? pfft.. gotta drink some absinth, gotta see the green fairy :P..




for the record, I tried the above mentioned experiment, 1/2 bottle of absinth later, I couldn't see anything, let alone a green fairy :)

Snakes don't come to mind during St Patricks Day for sure...

I'm actually Irish, so I'm going out to celebrate the meaning of green beer with my friends.
