the first leopard gecko I got was in april of 04
about a year ago
got her since she was a month old... she used to eat SO many crickets.... so many worms and stuff
now she doesnt eat... hasn't eaten for pretty much at all for a really long time
shes eaten a few meal worms here and there but just doesnt show interest in butterworms... tried waxworms, she ate one...
she hasn't gotten any smaller i dont think... shes not losing weight in her tail
she just shed for the first time in months so i thought she was getting better although that day, i came home and she was in her hide and i couldnt see her
so i picked the hide up and she was laying there with a shed all over head just like stuck there , dark and moist looking
so i used a q-tip and got it all off of her face
this is bad, now about 4 days later, maybe 5 or 6 days later, i just got home from work and i noticed there was red on her face
well, i didnt want to turn on the spot light above her, so i grabbed a flashlight and her face is like rotting away
can you help me?? PLEASe???? not good at all!!!!!!

if the actual flesh, and not just dead skin, of the animal is deteriorating, I don't know what other advice to give you except to get her to a vet asap. In the meantime, keep her on paper towel if there are any open wounds as you don't want to encourage infection if that has not already occurred. Maybe someone else has an idea of what this condition is....?

hey thanks for the reply... this really sucks....
OK
SO
I have her on paper towel , for almost the whole time I've had her
shes about a year old
To clean the tank recently, I used vinegar-water for the tank
Im reading now that it could be from using dish detergent to clean her appliances?
but the thing is is that I cleaned off the stuff by blasting them with water and rinsing them so there couldnt have been any soap left i dont think
it was all dry too, and all thats in her 15 gallon tank is basically a hide on the colder side which is about 70 ish at night
and a blastic plant for shade on the other side and a few rocks where it is warm and like 90 in the day time, maybe 100 in the day

I'm not sure what the condition is, but you shouldn't let the hot end get that hot. 88-90 degrees. Definately not 100! You should supply a humid hide to help shedding too. I don't know if you should wait to put it in there until after it heals or not, I'm sure someone will know.
Hump.

I've never heard of that, get her to a vet now.
