Hello :)
Does anyone know where I can buy realistic forest floor scene aquarium backgrounds online? The petstore near me doesn't carry anything even close to what I'm looking for. I also would like to pick up desert and forest canopy scenes.
If the above is unavailable, what else could I do to create a naturalistic background in my enclosures?
All ideas welcome! :)
How big is the enclosure?
You could get backgrounds from anywhere really doesnt have to be the stuff from pet shops unless your planning on putting it inside the cage.
If its going on the outside you could try maybe some calendars, or if you know anyone good at art they might be willing to paint you a nice background.
good luck in your search

Some wallpapers are really very nice these days. How about making your own with the computer. There's some amazing stuff on the net. I had made mine that way when I had a marine tank...becore I got into live rocks and coral, than I didn't need it.

galad, the enclosure for the forest floor scene is going to be 8' long and 18" high. I don't really know anyone good at art around here, but I was more looking for something that looks photo realistic anyway. ;)
havenbounce, printing from the computer is an idea I considered previously, cuz you're right, they are some gorgeous wallpapers available. However my printer doesn't work anymore, so at the moment that option is unavailable to me. :( Also, because the scene must go in the cage the prints would need to be laminated.
Any other ideas?

for one that big maybe talk to a few banner printing shops.. VehicleWraps.ca is the one that q107 is useing to put decals on cars but they print all large things.. banners window signes ect ect.. take in an idea maybe theyll have something that they can print up.. might be a little more expensive..
otherwise just try for fish shops.. usually they have 2 sides to thoes backrounds
