I have 2 balls that have not taken any food since I purchased them in Dec. Now I was told they were eating fresh killed but would take F/T left in the cage over night. I have had no luck with that eithier. So what should I do, try live? They are both about 800 grams and a very important pair to me, 100% Het Albino. Also if I try a live rat what are the down falls?
Thanks for all the help.

If you need to try live, make sure you do not leave the rat un attended in the enclosure. Something I would do (and have) is do a search of this forum there are some really great posts especially from Jeff Favelle w/ vids. I learned alot from them.
I am not sure but you could try feeding a live fuzzy or just weaned rat to get them feeding then try the F/T right after.
Maybe........GL though but do check out those posts by Jeff.

I am sorry I guess I should have mentioned, I tried a small rat fuzzy and they could care less. But I will look for those posts. Thanks
Unless your 800g snakes have lost a good amount of weight since you received them in December, I would not cave in and feed live if their previous owner said they were eating f/t. They'll eat soon enough.
