Well my tokay gecko wasn't doing so well, I was force feeding but then she stopped eating all together for around 5 days. Each day I would put a few worms in the food bowl but she wouldn't touch them. And after a couple days when I kept doing that she would come out and eat them now! Now she is eating around 10 a day! I want her to get some extra weight on for breeding, but since she was eating you can now see a bit of bone on her tail, but since she is eating 10 meals a day, I am sure she will be fine.

Do you think feeding her superworms and pinkies is to stressful for a weak gecko?

BTW - She is seperate from the male, and the male doesn't like that. He is calling every night and morning :p I love there call though :)

I would like to thank Dave and Allison, Gino and Clint for helping me on an earlier post. They told me ideas on why she could not be eating and how to reverse it.

Thanks Guys!

Well have you figured out why she stopped eating? I'd wonder about that for sure.

Congrats she is doing better!

Glad to hear shes eating. I know my two eat crickets like they are candy, sometimes 15 or more 4 week old crickets each day.

I know my Tokays are very shy still, so if I am watching them, I have to stay absolutely still LOL or they hide again. I love the Tokays call, and wish mine would do it more :(

Just a thought, are you absolutely sure you have a male/female?? If they were both males, then that would explain why one stopped eating, being stressed by the other. Double check IMO...unless you know exactly why -she- stopped eating. Just a thought.

Well I have had her since last April and she was eating, she stopped around when the male was trying to mate with her lots. She wasn't bigger enough to mate I guess.

All well, I will when she is ready :)
