What exact types of heat cable and control devices have you used to heat snake racks? Any other advice?
Thanks

EasyHeat sold at canadian tire with a thermostat.
Do you have pictures? Are you happy with it? any idea on cost?
i'm curious how you would attach it to the bottom of a tank or the side of a melamine enclosure, or inside an incubator though. How would you do that?

I will take pics of how the wire are routed through the rack.
I am very happy with it. I have 2 racks that use the same system.
We cut lines in the wood and put the wire in and put aluminium tape over the wire. This way the rubbermaids are flat on the surface and it leaves no gaps for snakes to escape from the top.
Siretsap:
Thanks for the help. Do you know what type of EasyHeat cable you use? (They have various types available)
Is your thermostat an on/off type or a proportional? I am wondering if a proportional stat or another type of voltage regulating controler will work to raise/lower the heat output of the cable or if I have to use an on/off device fo full on or full off operation.

With those pipe heating cables, don't you have to remove that temperature disc?
