If anyone own any plastic style cages, like reptic plastics. Can you drill holes into them. To mount thermometer etc. And to help with air flow.

Why not use double sided tape (3M) instead of drilling holes?

DON'T use tape! You'll know why the first time you have to peel if off of a snake... and it doesn't peel off easily.

Drill or solder/burn a few holes in the enclosure and use cable ties or twist ties to hold the probe in place. :)

When drilling don't press hard or you'll crack the plastic. And make sure the drill bit is sharp. John

reptic-plastics cages drill trough easly. the plastic is thick, but wont crack at all. molded cages or rubbermaids can crack tough because the plastic is verry thin and verry hard

With the brittle plastics like Sterilites use a small, sharp bit to drill a pilot hole. Then use the target size bit (equally sharp) and it will make a smooth clean hole every time.
