well my brother fed my ball python yesturday (I wasnt there at te moment) a mice that i had here that was bitten by another one and it kind of had a little infection on the bite wound like with dry puss. do any of you think it would harm my snake in any way. any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure if it will harm your snake. I personally would not feed my snake a sick animal, but then again in the wild most predator animals go after the weak or sick animal (easy kill and does not take as much energy). I sure hope your ball will be alright.

thanks for replying but the mouse was not sick it just had dry puss on the base of its tail where it connects to the body

Not a good idea to feed the injured mouse.

Since it has happened, I believe your bp should be alright. Remember that bp has immune system just like us. Just a very very small risk.

i watched a sm western diamound back rattler feed on a road kill deer mouse that was pick while eatting and lived to get over 5' at the time of its death. i dont think that eatting a mouse like you described should hurt anything
