View Full Version : "Normal" Jaguar Sibling....

Now this is a Normal Jaguar Sibling that has always intrigued me. Her pattern is unlike that of any Jaguar or Coastal Carpet that I have ever seen. She lacks what I would consider bands, stripes and other trademark coastal characteristics. Rather, she has numerous broken up "rosettes" (for lack of a better word). Most of them on the front half of her body are randomly scattered, while toward the tail they become more methodical. Here color is quite nice, too! I can't wait to breed her back to a Jaguar. Should be interesting!

Thanks everyone!!!! IMHO, it is obvious that at least some of the Normal Jag Sibs are carring "something" genetic. There is no other logical explaination as to why we get such an amazing variety of NJS's. Some have an altered pattern, some have altered color and still others have BOTH altered color AND pattern (like the one pictured above). I have a few more really unusual specimens that I will post in the near future.

Please accept my apology my jaw dropped on the keyboard and I can not keep typing while I keep drooling :D
Screamer Jag :D
WOW!! Thats amazing! Is it true that they have bred lucies from a JagxJag breeding but that none survived? Are there any pics?

Yes, that is true that Jag x Jag breedings will yield leucistics. Unfortunately none have lived long after hatching. I think there is hope that in the future someone will eventually produce one that lives. A pure white Carpet with blue eyes would be quite a phenomenal snake to behold!!!! And yes, I do have pics but would need permission to use them.
Thanks! A blue-eyed lucy coastal would be amazing! I've have been concentrating so much on another project that I never took time to look into the Jags but now that I have...well lets just say that I bought three normal female coastals already!!
First incredible snake Will, wow!
I have a similar patterned one.(color mines an ugly duckling
vs yours) she is blue at the momment in the picture.
I have seen very few with rosettes. And the sibs
are more reduced than mine or the others I've seen.
