hey all im curious as to how to grow my own hyrdoponic plants.

When i hear hyrdoponics, i think of plants growing in water without soil, so how do they get minerals and the stuff they need to feed on in water without soil? I tried my own in my turtle's tank and it died in about a month...

can anyone help and suggest easy plants to start off with.

its nto jsut water. hydroponics can be done in peat (roses are commonly done this way in those bags), rocks, water, agar, vermiculite/perlite and so on. basically you are providing all the nutrients yourself instead of having nutrients in teh soils. im no expert on hydro and no idea what the definition is of it.

you can learn lots by reading obvious things i wont mention...pretty overwhelming though.

tomatoes are pretty easy. i have eperimented with various ways of growing including hydro and i used coleus for it all. very easy prolific (and pretty) plant. in fact i have one growing in a tray and its getting water/nutrients from the run off of the other pots. it happens to be in flower right now (second time this month).
