Actually my mex blks bred earlier in Febuary, but I've been too busy to upload pics, but at long last I have!
Pics are a bit graphic, so don't say I didn't warn you.
This pair bred for me last year and I hope to have the same success again. Two of their babies from last year were jet blk out of the egg, so I'm hoping for more jet blk babies!
Male kings will often bite the female to hold her down while breeding her. This is what my male, The Architect, did to get The Vulture in the mood, as she was running from him when introduced.

He's got a good clamp on her.

While holding her down, he did the deed and I have pics to prove!

Seriously nasty! Can you see the drippage?

Anyhow, she is looking thick in the posterior now. So I'm thinking she's gravid!
My speckled kings were not so easy. Male had shed and was ready, but the female was not and threw him off constantly. Well she finally went blue and I introduced them, and she was a little more willing. I wasn't able to get a good shot of their coital bite, but I did get the money shot!
Beautiful tails!

Here it is!

The peat moss on the 'penes has not been a problem, in case anyone asks. When the male retracts, the peat moss is scraped off and then I later come by to wipe it off his vent or he wipes it off himself.
