a couple days ago my femal long tailed lizard was hiding in one of my caves and when it finally came out its mouth was slightly opened and it hasnt gotten closed since, ive gotten it to drink plenty but have not gotten it to eat since, it mostly stays in one spot of the cage most of the day and the other lizards seem fine, im pretty sure she is pregnant so are those symtoms of that?

i couldnt tell ya.. but you should definatly seperate her into her own clean steryl envrioment and give her optimal conditions.. i know very little about thoes lizards but you should give her something to lay her eggs in.. and gat her eatin again.. you may have to coax her but she must eat while pregnate..

thats ok advive but other methods should be sought after first.,. how long since it ate.. force feeding can be extreemly stressful on any herp.. and is not nessassrly the best thing to do.. may do more harm then good... but then again the female is pregnate.. i still think that should be a last resort.. do you know of any other food they can eat.. maybe a meat baby food or something, i know there carnivors so.. but maybe something soft.. put it on her lips and get her to lick it off..
you should get her to a vet asap

the lizards mouth is back to normal, it started eating again but its still being lazy, is that a sign of soon to lay eggs? normally its a very active lizard

Well I got a crested before (full grown female) who gaped constantly, it was a mixture of dehyrdation and lack of calcium. I solved the problem quickly but maybe you should look into it because she stopped for a few days and it began again untill it was resolved
