I found this pic at big-snake.de and thought i could share. This boa kept a nice red tail despite growing so much. Don't you think?
jesus that's HUGE! Looks like it could wrap around that dude and sqeeeeze.....

And he looks like a large dude himself. Imagine that monster on the shoulders of a pencil-neck...
But what i find cool is that bright red colour . All adult boas i've seen (and never seen one close to that size) lost most of the redish colour. Not this one...

I think it's a cross between a bcc and a bci. Reasons I think that are because of the size, the color of the tail and the look of the head.

I didn't see a snake, I couldn't get my eyes off those big welding gloves. :)
Actually I wonder if that snakes is a crazy biter (which would suck) or if that guy is nervous around snakes (which would be awesome because he is obviously getting over it with a snake like that on his shoulders) ?

The gloves could be a good idea. All Boas i had (the ones that bite) had a weird tendency to strike at my hands. Just like Yellow anacondas. They go for the hands...

Simply being big and having a bright red tail does not make it a BCC cross. In fact, the boa in that picture looks almost identical to my big baby girl, Athena:

The pic is a little dull.. on most days, her tail is BRIGHT red. But, she's only 6'6"... :)

Hmmmm.... NO. Please know that I did give that at least 1/4 second of thought though, lol
Her offspring may be available this year... she's being put with my gargantuan freak, Zeus, as soon as he sheds:

He's been cooled, she hasn't... plus, he's damn near 2 feet bigger than her, but we'll see. They both have wicked clean patterns and nice tails, so hopefully their offspring will be worthwhile to invest in. :)
~very~nice picture ken! Good luck breeding them.

I agree with Invictus, size and colour means nothing. The head doesn't look like a that of a BCC's either. As for wearing welding gloves, that's a real good way to have a toothless snake. My 3 cents.

Hey Ken,
Awesome looking boas buddy! Man, if Emily would only let me have snakes in the house. Gotta keep working on her.
Take care man!

WHAT!?! She'll let you have those vicious geckos, but not a cute little snakey? That doesn't make any sense to me!

I know Humphrey, hard to believe eh? I keep telling her snakes are much less viscious then my geckos. She's not buying it one bit;) . Oh well, I'm not going to stop bugging her. She'll eventually cave in.
Take care,
Invictus

haha... thanks Jason. And by all means, keep working on her. When Erin and I were together, she brought a spider into my house despite my paralyzing fear of them - now I'll free handle a calm tarantula ANY day of the week. :)
