an idea for the next show

ok it may sound stupid but someone gave me an idea in the "i couldnt resist the power of the show thread" in the crestie forum.

maybe the ssnakess members should setup a time and place or a name tag thing or even a little poster at there table or something so ppl could meet other members that they already "know" but havent really met..

like honestly the only person on here that i know of that i have actually met is Sheila from capital dragons and 1/2 of the solomon.

i know no others that are envolved with herps and alot of pple on here i feel i know... ive prob met about 1/2 the members on here but didnt know it.. so if you could put a person to a web name it would be nice..

i know it may sound stupid but hey.. and im tellin ya ( with exception of this show, lack of funds) when i get my cresties (or another herp) id have a much easier time trusting and parting with my money knowing that that person is right on here and that i have talked to them before..

so ya its just a thought.. prob stupid but hey..

I believe we were planning this for a past show but it never really got off the ground on the day of the show... it would be cool though, I only met a couple of the ssnakess members who I recognized, but I know a lot of others walked passed me at the table.

It would be cool to set something up though... :)

I don't have a table, I usually hang out behind Matt_K's and bug him for most of the day. Sometimes I make little pyramids out of his display (that would be the 'help' he thanked me for in an earlier post)...

I'm the blonde one anyway.

But a meeting would be cool.

all you have to do is give everyone stickers that say "I AM YOUR NAME" and stick it on there shirt:) I think that would work better. But I'm not sure if that can be done because stickers arnt cheap if you have like thousands of people comming in and out through out the day

That could work, or each person who wants to participate can create their own little "name tags"...Would be kinda neat to figure out what everyone looks like. I remember a thread a while back about this very same topic, what ever happened to the idea?

It's funny reading what people got, cause I know that about 80% of the people that bought, hooks, probes, exo terra cages (Betty), CGD and other dry goods, got em from me at my table :D .

The only way I would distinguish a member from a non member would be from little clues that only ssnakess people have. Ssnakess members have a hunch, fingers in the contour of a keyboard and red eyes from staring at a computer screen for long amounts of time.

thats my point.. i didnt look at any cresties cause it would be to much of a tease but with everone buying stuff you really dont know if you have ever talked to the person.. if i had the money to setup a ssnakess.com table i would... just to meet some of the ppl..

im enough of a sales person to do it too.. i must have sold about 100 ppl on this site.. everytime someone askes me a question while im in a pet store i can sit and tell them about this place for like 1/2 hour. lol...

Sounds like some good ideas, and I think those who wanted to participate could easily make their own name tag for the next show... something like

"screenname" is ssnakess addicted!

I think its a great idea. I think the only people I recognise when I see them are Sunrunner and Aidan (SaIiLdVaEnR).....everyone else, I sometimes think I recognise, but not sure.....so i don't say anything........

I made up some sSnakeSs.com name tags for the last Red Deer show and had them on my table with a pen. A few people used them... but not many. I'm sure it could have been organized better though. :p

I think all you Manitobans need to come out the the next PCPC show, you can all cram into Tims 1967 VW Van with flowers and peace symbols on the side and do a road trip.
