First time breeder! Waited for fems. to grow big and fat and today I put my male in with one of the girls I felt was ready inbetween 40-50g as soon as I put him in he walked around then he saw her, chased her down grabed her tail and draged her to the midle of the encloser where he bit her leg and neck and had his way with her!!! Didnt seem very nice to me! Is this normale breeding behaver or was my poor girl raped by a man handling, fem. mauling monster of a male?

That is pretty much the normal breeding behavior..... Some males are alittle more kinder but most do it just like you explained....

Wiseman001....No it is one of my SHT leo's....they should make some nice babies...I have another who is carrying eggs but I didnt see his behavior with her. So it shocked me when I caught him acting that way with the other fem.!

LOL I've never seen my males drag my females, he usually gets a little nip on her and "vibrates" his head, continuing up towards the neck from the tail.

Some males are extremely bad, and have been known to cause near fatal injuries including ripping necks open and breaking tails and legs.
I know a guy that had to simply retire a male after it killed a female, but this is rare.
Most geckos are pretty rough breeders and ripped open skin and broken tails is fairly common.
