I have been mixing some crested gecko food (powder) with the
regular baby food and I also give them 2 times a week dusted
crickets but I was wondering now if I should mix some calcium
or / and vitamins with the baby food …

Also, I was just told by a breeder to make my own food : banana,
mangoes and pear + yogurt. Is yogurt ok for cresties ?? and how
do u keep this type of food from getting all brown and yucky
looking or is that ok.

:)

Why don't you just use crested gecko diet by itself?

When you mix CGD with babyfood it ruins the nutrientional balance of the diet. Personally I would just use the CGD with crickets.

I feed my cresties with those ingredients named and have no problems. I actually took that recipe from Hilde and so, if it is good for her cresties, it is good for mine. I feed mine with that food and if it was to be left overnight I take the dish out in the morning. I have no problems with mold or whatever else your concern is. I find if you feed exlusive cgd the crestie does not grow as fast.
By all means, I am not knocking the cgd. It is my choice for the fruit mixture and I supplement with calcium and with Vit. D.
I do use cgd but it is more occasionally than regularly.

I'd like to say that I have no problems with a mixed fruit diet. I recommend CGD because it is more convenient IMO. :)
