This is probably a really silly question but oh well . Well last night I was at a magic show with the WSPCR and I had my girl Suzy on display. Well to my knowledge Suzy is about a year and a bit old . Well there happened to be another Boa Constrictor there same age and from the same breeder but it was about half the size of Suzy. Suzy is about 3.5' - 4' long and and a okay thickness (I think she could bulk up a bit) .A breeder there told me she must be at least two or three because she has a female same size at three years old and told me to start feeding her every three weeks , so I don't know what to belive anymore . What is the normal size for a year old female Columbian Boa Constrictor .Thank you .

How often do you feed your boa?
What do you feed it?
From my experience it is very difficult to gauge an age of any snake from size alone, there are just to many factors that will affect the size of the animal.

that sounds like a normal size to me 3 1/2 - 4 feet after a year is normal in my eyes, so long as its not pop can thickness then id say there is no problem, post a pic of her if you can beside something to give a comparison.
i never go by what other people tell me what to do or not to do, i do what works for me and thats all that matters.

I feed her small rats every 10-14 days and I can't think of anything to compare her to in thickness but she is not as thick as a pop can . I would post a picture but when I try it says that it is to big . Anyways thanks .

you are certainly not overfeeding her on her current schedual, and in my opinion, every three weeks is underfeeding, especially since she is still growing. i usually offer my boas food every 7-10 days, regardless of age, though they do not always eat it.
